The European Union (EU) is in the process of implementing a new chemical regulatory policy called REACH. The term “REACH” [Registration Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals] is a registration and reporting procedure for all chemical substances imported, manufactured or used in the EU above 1 metric ton per year, as well as highly regulated chemicals, referred to as “SVHC” Substances of Very High Concern.
This will certify that to the best of our knowledge, the chemicals on the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern referenced above are not intentionally added or present in the following product.
EU Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (recast – EU RoHS), OJ L 174/88, 1.7.2011; in particular, Article 4. Declaration: To the best of our knowledge, None of CTM’s products contain any known or intentionally added chemical substances (either banned or declarable) as outlined in the regulation listed above.
The information provided may not be based upon actual test data, but rather on information obtained from raw material supplier or vendor Material Safety Data Sheets. This declaration is based on de minimus levels of 0.1% for lead, hexavalent chromium, mercury, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB’s) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE’s) and 0.01% for cadmium, as outlined in EU Directive 2011/65/EU, Annex II (accepted June, 8th 2011).
